Yoli was raised in a family whose passion for their city, Downey, and value of hard work instilled in her a sense of commitment to the community. At a young age, Yoli took up ballet dancing. This instilled a strong work ethic and sensibility around dedication and perseverance. This love and passion for those around her led her to pursue Architecture, which she is currently studying at USC, to be able to see the way that her choices impact where she lives in its most physical form. In order to further expand her knowledge, she is interning with The Design Collaborative to learn from other like-minded individuals with decades of knowledge. She considers design to be a tool that gives her the ability to control how she wants the world to appear. She also believes that designing with collaboration allows you to ultimately develop a more creative and higher quality project.
