PRINCIPAL, STRUCTURAL  ENGINEERING AND DESIGN MANAGEMENT

PRONOUNS: HE/HIM/HIS

Most American children have a certain kinship with creative building; whether it be building blocks, Lincoln Logs, or LEGO. Most American parents cringe in pain when they recall a time where they accidentally made contact with one of these wondrous objects of creativity with their foot. For Eric, this was not simply a childhood infatuation. This was something, he later realized, he had a real connection with and propensity for. This awareness sparked his collegiate pursuit of Structural Engineering. Although he had thought briefly that Architecture was going to be his bag, his affinity for math and science said otherwise. After successfully obtaining a Master’s Degree in Structural Engineering and Mechanics of Materials from UC Berkeley, he spent the next 10 years growing his career in New York City and has recently returned home to Los Angeles. As a Brooklynite, he was passionate about using the city’s subway system to lessen his carbon footprint and now looks forward to learning the recently expanded LA Metro. His pursuit of sustainability and accessibility isn’t just for show; he is a founding member of Build Out Alliance, an organization dedicated to making the AEC industry more inclusive for the LGBTQ+ community. Eric is all about strategic collaboration from start to finish, creating resilient and sustainable projects. In his free time, Eric enjoys escaping to nature, reading science fiction, and sometimes just staying in to play video
games.
